Gabe D'Annunzio spent his childhood in Atri, Italy. A quiet town on the Amalfi coast, Atri has a long and rich history that dates back to classical antiquity. For centuries, Atri functioned as an important port city and hub of ancient roads and aqueducts. In the modern era, archeologists discovered ancient coins bearing the image of the hound, which serves as a symbol of Atri and the Abruzzo region.

For Gabe, the dream of a better life and the alluring glamor of post-war America shaped him into a hardworking apprentice with sights set on the New World. At age 11, he and his family took the well-worn yet harrowing path from Atri to the New World with nothing but the clothes on their backs. And through perseverance and elbow grease, Gabe mastered the art of tailoring. He learned to flatter the human form through tried and true Italian tailoring with the style and flair of Hollywood's Golden Age.
